DONNAGAYS EASY VICTORY Splashes Her Way Home in Front in Hochelaga Handicap, Feature at Blue Bonnets. MONTREAL, Que., June 4. -Donnagay, juvenile daughter of Donnacona and Modern Girl, racing in the pale blue and gold colors of C. Henry, splashed her way to an easy victory in the Hochehtga Handicap, feature offering on the tenth days program at the Blue Bonnets course of the Montreal Jockey Club today. William Kitts Fools Folly was in second place, three lengths back and a short head before B. J. Handleys Wedge Lass. This was the second triumph at the meeting- for the Donnacona filly, as- she graduated from the ranks of the maidens in her last appearance. V. Kamar was astride the winner, and the four and one-half furlongs was run in :59 over a sloppy track. The smallest crowd of the current, meeting was on hand for the sport, only the regulars braving the heavy rains that fell all through the morning and continued until time for the first race. There was a delay of five minutes at the post, and the start, when it came, was rather poor, with Grand Flara, Tropical Moon and Always Mine away slowly from the outside. Justa Lark took the lead at the start, followed by Donnagay and Wedge Lass. Just a Lark set a fast early pace and drew away into a good lead only to bolt to the outside fence, and Donnagay took command and drew away in the stretch to win easily. Fools Folly, after racing in fourth place in the early stages, came fast in the stretch, caught Wedge Lass, and outlasted her. The latter was always close up and had no mishaps.
