f CLAIMS AND SALES $ : Lucky Child was claimed out of the fifth race Monday at Riverside by C. Fisher for 00. Danny McAuliffe, who is gathering together a stable of horses for M. R. Singleton, New York sportsman made his initial gesture when -he purchased the plater Four Spot at Rockingham. Another new owner is Fred Dowoloby, Lawrence night club impresario.. At private sale he purchased Axentea and Desert Sands from the B. B. Stable at Salem. Eddie Powers has been appointed trainer. - -Miss Stella Holopitz of Lawrence also stepped into the picture by purchasing: 7 Be There, a two-year-old, from the B. B. Stable at Salem. Wittekind was claimed by W. G. Merion for ,000 at Rockingham. Blackmail was claimed by R. Robertson for ,250 at Rockingham Park. . Chain was claimed for ,400 by D. J. McAuliffe at Rockingham. The Darb was claimed by Mrs. J. L. Wilson for ,000 at Rockingham. Prince Drake was claimed by A. J. Halli-well for ,000 at Detroit, Tuesday. J. H. Jarvis obtained William C. from, Eddie Houghton at Homewood and word was received that the horse-is en route to Omaha from Washington Park.
