KISLAV improved his position steadily during the back stretch run and, moving up to head CHILLA LEE after entering the stretch, bore over to seriously interfere with the latter and go on to win handily. TAMPA LASS improved her position steadily, saved ground in the stretch and was going well at the finish. BOURBON WHISKEY, in close quarters on the inside during the back stretch run, came to the outside in the stretch to make his run and was going well at the finish. CHILLA LEE attempted to bear out rounding the first turn, was taken under slight restraint after opening up a short lead on the back stretch and, although tiring near the finish, would have been closer but for meeting with interference from the winner in the stretch. ELECTRESS WELLS raced up strongly on the back stretch but tired in the run home. TIMBUS lacked speed at all times and showed a very weak effort. LIEUT. KELLY was badly outrun all the way.
