Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. LIGHT MOMENT, well handled, got away well in motion and hustled along, caught LUCKY DUCKY at the sixteenth post and won going away. ETHELS CHOICE, well up all the way, was steered to the inside in the stretch and finished with a rush. LUCKY DUCKY, away flying, opened a wide gap going around the. turn, but tired suddenly in the last seventy yards. QUEEN FULL ran a good race. ST. IVES came with a rush at the end. CREOLE BIRD was a bit slow getting into his stride, came to the inside entering the stretch and finished with a rush. POMPEIUS, well up all the way, had no mishaps. CAPT. SHEKNOWS was away slowly, moved up very fast entering the stretch, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. SANDY BOY broke slowly but worked his way up and finished with a good burst of speed. Won driving; second and third easily. PRINCE ABBOT broke well, but was allowed to drop back in the run around the paddock turn. He began to close ground turning out of the back stretch, was taken to the outside and closed gamely, Just setting up to win. OLD STORY raced THORSON into defeat in the first three-eighths, took the lead in the stretch, but tired suddenly at the end. THORSON got away flying, displayed excellent speed and ran a good race.
