HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES s Word was received here that the veteran jockey. Mack Garner, plans to resume saddle duties at Churchill Downs. Later in the year Garner plans to branch out as an owner. M. Peters and C, Stafford ar.2 leading- the riders at Havre de Grace in quest of the 00 gold stop watch offered by general manager Edward Burke for the leading rider of the meeting. Advices were received from Hagerstown that stables intending to race at the Hub City meeting of ten days, beginning Tuesday, May 19, can ship to the Fair Grounds course at once. Ollie Eisman, track superintendent, has his equipment on the grounds and will begin working the racing surface Eooa as the stables begin to fill. It was learned that A. J. Joyner will transfer the horses of George D. Widener to Belmont Park Thursday from Erdenheim Farm. D. J. McAuliffe is shipping the M. R. Singleton racers to Narragansett Park after the close of the present meeting. Jockey C. Stafford will accompany the shipment. W. B. Streett checked in at Pimlico Sun-C. V. Whitneys Bright Plumage, which performed in last Saturdays Chesapeake Stakes was transferred to New York today to fulfill his engagement in the Wood Memorial. He was accompanied by Savings. Trainer Jack Healey will ship the division of the Whitney stable that he has here to Pimlico next week. day with five jumpers, which arrived from Warrenton, Va. The jumpers of the Thomas Hitchcock stable, in care of trainer P. Green, are expected to reach Pimlico in a few days to await the opening of the Maryland Jockey Club meeting.
