FRENCH LANE PRESIDENT AURORA, 111., May 19.— At a meeting of the Illinois Turf Writers Association, French Lane, turf editor of the Chicago Tribune, was elected president of the organization for the 1936 period. Paul Hirtenstein of the Chicago Daily News was elected vice-president, and Larry Fitzgerald drew the post of secretary-treasurer. In each case the vote was unanimous.
