J AURORA TURF NOTES | $ n J. P. Toomey purchased the veteran eprinter Stimulator from Mrs. J. Oros. The terms of the transaction were private. Jockey Francis Polk, who topped the American jockey list during the first two months of the year, will ride during the Hawthorne meeting, and will accompany the stable of Clyde Troutt to the Cicero track. Harry Hollander, agent for Troutt, will make the boys engagements. Apprentice B. Neal, who was suspended several days ago, underwent an emergency appendicitis operation and is reported well on the road to recovery. Trainer Carl Meyer has made arrangements to ship the horses he is training for A- A. Young to Latonia Wednesday night, where they will be campaigned during the Latonia meeting, which gets under way Saturday. Ben Creechs charges will get away for Detroit Thursday, but jockeys C. Parke and C. Parvin will remain here for the final day of racing at the Fox Valley track. The Creech horses will be returned for the Arlington Park meeting. Paul Kelley annouced that he had the firing irons applied to the legs of Dark Zeni and the horse along with the others in his care will be sent to Detroit Thursday night. Chester Crowhurst, Chicago youngster, had the first mount of his career astride Sparkling Rose in the second race on Tuesdays card. Jockey Johnny Longden, unde engagement to A. G. Tarn, was granted a license by the Illinois Racing Commission and got into action Tuesday afternoon.
