WENT TO POST— 2:30. AT POST— b minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. WISE BUN raced forwardly from the start, responded to pressure in the final eighth and finished with ffood courage to outlast EIGHT OCLOCK. The latter improved her position steadily on the inside and closed with a rush. ERINS SUN was placed under pressure shortly after the start and showed a good effort. DONALD DUCK closed steadily on the outside. JINX quit badly after showing early speed. DORIS RAMSDEN raced straight on the outside all the way. STRIDER faltered badly under pressure. SPICY raced evenly all the way. NEBRASKA CITY finished well on the inside. IDLE ELF quit badly and was not persevered with. Scratched— 25802 Tintoretto, 110; Real One, 113; 25802 Sword Queen, 113. OFF AT ONCE. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. BLACKCOCK forced his way through the leaders going to the fifth fence and interfered with JUNGLE DAWN, set a steady pace thereafter, bothered APPIAN WAY entering the stretch and proved best in the final drive. APPIAN WAY moved up with good courage when called upon and swerved over on BLACKCOCK at the final fence, for which he was disqualified. POPPYMAN jumped boldly and was kept forwardly throughout. He was caught between APPIAN WAY and BLACKCOCK after taking the tenth fence and was forced to take up, then finished resolutely when clear. JUNGLE DAWN was racing strongly when bothered severely going to the fifth fence. SENADO showed early speed, but pulled up verv lame. RIDIAN showed a flash of early speed. THE SPY was outrun. PIMOCHIO had no excuse. MEREDITH lost its rider at the eleventh fence. Overweight — Pimochio, 4 pounds. THIRD RACE 5-8 MILE Widener Course. Distraction, June 4, 1927— :56— 2— 125. OfJAA"! Won easily ; second and third driving. KNIGHT GALLANT broke well, but swerved shortly after the break, was roused sharply, moved into command and drew away, winning with speed in reserve. MAEDIC was kept forwaHly placed from the start, but could not menace the winner and outlasted SOPHIA TUCKER. The latter finished well under pressure from a slow beginning. POST MERIDIAN hung in the final drive after showing some improvement. BILLIONAIRE quit badly in the final eighth. COURT SCANDAL had no mishaps. Won driving; second and third the same. INDOMITABLE broke slowly, moved up with a rush, came to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch, drew away into a safe lead, but was quitting at the finish. SNOW FOX improved his position with a rush, moved up with determination in the stretch and was wearing the winner down. BALKAN LAND was placed under severe pressure in the stretch run and closed ground to outlast VEZ. The latter was kept in a forward position all the way and had no mishaps. TERPSICHORE showed a flash of early speed, saved ground and had no mishaps. HIGHFuOL quit in the stretch after racing forwardly. REDLEY was shuffled back at the far turn. INFANTRY raced evenly. BRUSH HOOK was shuffled back after the break and eliminated from contention. SUN ASIA had no excuses. FLAMING SWORDS, fractious at the post, was placed on the outside for the start. POSTAGE DUE was taken under restraint in the early running, moved up with a rush when called upon, but faltered at the end. ANEROID was outrun in the early running, came to the outside in the stretch and finished with determination. DELPHINIUM began slowly and in close quarters shortly after the break, came to the inside in the stretch run, but could not menace the leaders. BOW TO ME raced evenly throughout. LEGIONARY was rushed into command after the break, was rated along under steady restraint, saved ground rounding the stretch turn and lipid her position safe to the end. CAPTAIN JINKS was taken under restraint when outrun, came to the outside rounding the stretch turn and iinished well. FRANK ORMONT moved up with determination on the outside rounding the far turn, made a determined bid in the stretch run and then faltered. KUNGSHOLM was kept forwardly all the way, responded when called upon, but hung under pressure in the final sixteenth. CHIEF MOURNER, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, came again in the final eighth, but faltered. GLITTERING and GOOD VISIBILITY were outrun throughout and had no mishaps. SANG FROID forced the pace from the start, raced BIG PLAY into defeat and then drew away in the stretch and held PORTDEN safe in the final drive. The latter, away well, dropped back, but improved his position steadily on the inside rounding the far turn, but was forced to come to the outside when the winner swerved to the inside at the eiehth post. AL NEIMAN was kept close up from the start, made his bid when called upon and then hung. BIG PLAY showed good speed, saved ground and had no excuses. CLIENTELLE, well up on the inside in the early running, quit at the finish. BEAVER LAKE, a forward factor in the early running, was weakly handled through the final half mile.
