OFF AND ON raced forwardly from the start and responded gamely to urging in the stretch run, wore down SORCERESS and was drawing away at the finish. SORCERESS dwelt at the break and, away slowly, found dear passage on the inside, assumed command when rounding the far turn and then faltered from its early efforts. TOTEM POLE, away well but dropping back after the break, improved her position and finished well. NO DUST was close up from the start and had no mishaps. STAR LOOM was in close quarters in the early running. KITTY HEIGH showed an even effort. HONEYED raced extremely wide at the stretch turn. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. ETHELS CHOICE was rushed into command after the break and drew away from her opposition to win with speed in reserve. CANDLELIGHT improved his position on the outside from a slow beginning and finished fast. YOLDEAR dwelt at the break and was outrun, but made up ground steadily and finished with a rush on the outside. HIS NIBS began slowly, but improved his position under urging and closed stoutly. BULLY FLORA moved up with determination at the far turn, made up ground, .but faltered at the end. BOB CHARLIE came through on the inside entering the stretch from a slow beginning. The latter moved into command after the break, drew away into a brief lead, was rated along steadily and came again under severe pressure in the final drive. FORTIFICATION raced close to the pace from the start, moved up when called upon on the outside of the leaders and then faltered. VALSE began slowly and was outrun and could not menace the leaders. DUEL, close up from the start, saved ground entering the stretch, made a determined bid when straightened out, assumed command a Jew strides from the finish, but hung in the last stride. RIPARIAN was rushed into command after the break, was rated along steadily, was eased back when headed at the far turn and then came again at the end.
