SHYNO sprinted into a clear lead going to the first turn, was rated along until reaching the stretch, saved ground, but had to be shaken up vigorously near the finish. CANPRA, far out of contention after being snuffled back going to the first turn, bettered his position stoutly in the last half mile and was catching the winner rapidly at the close. JUSTA FLIGHT raced forwardly placed and continued strongly in the final drive. MARKME was steadied close up from the beginning and held on well in the closing test. BELLEEK held a contending position, but could not menace. BERRY PATCH raced evenly. RUDENIA was held safe. DEEP RUN stood flatfootcd when the break came and was away poorly. BROOKLYN stole through on the inside midway of the back stretch to take command, stalled off keen contention from UNEASY, saved ground, but swerved out in the last seventy yards and barely lasted long enough. TATTERED, slow to settle into his stride, swung to the outside when moving up fast in the last five-sixteenths, closed fastest, but crowded over on UNEASY approaching the finish and was disqualified. UNEASY, a strong factor from the beginning, was fighting it out stubbornly nearing the end, but was crowded nearing the finish and fell back badly. MR. CANRON could not stay when hard urged. Won driving; second and third the same. ,FETARD, hustled into a forward position, was blocked midway of the final turn when engaging the leaders, swunc to the outside in the last quarter mile and, finishing stoutly, was up nearing the close. PEPPER PATCH raced close up from the beginning, gained a short lead after being straightened into the stretch, but was unable to stall off the winner. MISS TIPTOE held a contending position in the early running, challenged boldly in the stretch and fought it out nicety. SIR ROSE sprinted into a clear lead, was rated until challenged, but failed to stay. STROPHE closed with a belated rush after coming extremely wide into the stretch. TIANA had no mishaps. FREDALVA showed speed for three-quarters. ENERGETIC LADY was crowded at the first turn, fell back badly and broke down and she was pulled up. WARRIOR QUEEN, going along in the thick of contention, rallied gamely when placed to punishment in the last three-sixteenths, came through a tight opening between the leaders in the final eighth and, finishing stoutly, was up in the last strides. ALEXANDRINE, strongly ridden to hold a contending position, disposed of HAPPY DINAH inside the final eighth and fought it out stoutly to the end. DIZZY DAME, outrun for five-eighths, circled her field and closed with a tremendous rush on the outside after losing con-siderable ground. BAD DREAMS fell back badly after the start, settled into stride and came with a belated rush at the close. MARY KEEN tired after engaging the leaders in the final eighth. AERO had a rough trip. FLEETING MOON showed a good effort. GRAND DUKE moved to the front directly after the start, stalled off stout opposition from 5UN ANTIOCH and, under severe urging, came out right at the end. LOVELY GIRL worked her way into contention steadily after gaining her stride, swung to the outside for the final test and closed with good courage. FINISHER was kept under stout urging from the beginning and came willingly in the final drive. SUN ANTIOCH forced a steady pace for over five-eighths and held on gamely. SARACEN had no excuses. SOUTHERN WAY raced improved, but was not good enough. DANCING DOLL lacked speed and was never a factor. WISE SISTER raced in dull fashion. Scratched 35481 Lemont, 104. . GOOD FLAVOR was rated in front, shook off the early opposition, rallied when forced to a stiff drive and fought it out stoutly. LIGHT BROOK secured racing room on the inside while bettering his position, engaged the pacemaker midway of the home stretch and held on strongly to the close. DARK WINTER was placed on the outside for the start, went forwardly, but was not good enough in the final test. QUIET PLEASE could not threaten. KIEVSON tired. GENEVA CROSS, fractious at the post where she was placed on the outside, began slowly, sharply cut off MISS MOO on the first turn, raced to the lead on the outside approaching the far tum and, shaken up entering the .stretch, continued well to withstand the challenge of LIGHT BREEZE. The latter, receiving a timid ride and taken back approaching the far turn, began to move up after reaching the final quarter, where he was in the worst going and finished in resolute fashion. HOPTOIT, well rated, tired when the final test came. MISS MOO, cut off early and raced wide, could not reach the leaders and tired badly in the stretch. CAPTAIN LOGAN quit.
