HEELFLY RETAINS HIS SPEED Waggoner Kentucky Derby Candidate Scheduled to Make Three-Year-Old Bow Today. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 5. Heelfly demonstrated to a large gallery at Arlington Downs Sunday morning that he had lost none of the speed that carried him to a new track record over six and one-half furlongs last fall when he went a handy three-quarters in 1:14. Acompanied by Gin Daisy and on a fast track, the son of Royal Ford and Canfli sped over the quarter in :22 and the half mile in :47. Gin Daisy was timed the quarter in :22 and the half mile in :47. Heelfly will make his 1937 debut in the San Antonio Purse tomorrow. Several other eligibles for the Texas and Kentucky Derbys will oppose him. Dead Calm, W. E.
