LEADING AMERICAN TRAINERS Sending a total of six winners to the post during the past week, Hirsch Jacobs, leading American trainer for the past four years, once again has gained top honors in the race for conditioning honors for 1937. Bert Michell, who has enjoyed the lead continuously since the turn of the new year, was unable to saddle a winner during the same period of time and thus dropped down to second place, being one winner short of Jacobs total of forty-one. Phil Bieber remains in third position, with twenty-two winners to his credit, while a three-way tie exists for fourth honors, G. E. Alexandra, B. A. Jones and J. Williams all having twenty-one winners apiece.
