AL NEIMAN was rushed into command at the start, drew away into a brief lead and was rated along steadily to respond when called upon, then held his opposition safe. STIPULATE, in close pursuit of the pace, moved up with determination in the stretch and then hung, but outlasted GRAND JESTER. The latter began slowly, but improved his position steadily and came to the outside and finished well. HIS NIBS was away slowly, but improved his position and finished well. SOCIAL ERROR, close to the pace from the start, had no mishaps. MANTADOS quit alter going a half mile. . NEBRASKA CITY was outrun to the stretch turn. WISE EUN had no speed and was outrun. Won easily; second and third the same. GURKHA outran his field to the first turn, was rated along steadily and, rounding the stretch turn, saved ground and drew away, winning with speed in reserve. MERRY PETE raced forwardly from the start, was placed under pressure at the far turn and could not menace the winner. ARMAGNAC showed good speed from the start, saved ground throughout and then faltered. LARRIGAN and SUPER JOHN were outrun and were not persevered with in the final eighth when hopelessly beaten. PLAY LINE showed good speed in the going, shook off its opposition rounding the stretch turn and drew away, then held HIGH MONGUL -safe at the finish. The latter improved his position steadily, overcame interference at the far turn and then closed stoutly nearing the finish. EYOTA, on the inside throughout; was bothered when WHO swerved in the running. ROCKY MARGOT was bothered after the break and was in close quarters at the far turn. WHO swerved at the far turn when placed under pressure and again in the stretch run. SHANTIME was bothered and forced to take up in the stretch when WHO swerved. LITTLE JOCK was on the inside and in close quarters, but could not improve his position when clear. POWDER MONKEY broke a length back cf his field from the outside. Won driving; second and third the same. CHANCING, on the outside of the leaders from the start, was placed under pressure in the stretch and finished fast to wear down KNOWING in the final drive. The latter was fractious at the post and, placed on the outside, broke in motion, showed early speed and had no mishaps. UPSIDE DOWN was in close quarters after the break, worked his way up on the inside and finished well. SUNPORT was shuffled back after the start and closed with a rush on the outside. HIGHPOOL, a forward factor in the early stages, quit in the stretch run. HOLLUSCHICKIE showed a flash of early speed, then quit. AVENAL was outrun throughout. Overweight Holluschiekie, 1 pound. RISOTTO was rushed into command after the start and, rated along steadily, shook off determined opposition from SWIFT LAD and UALLNO entering the stretch and drew away. He was disqualified for bothering SWIFT LAD in the back stretch and again at the far turn. SWIFT LAD was sent up on the inside rounding the first turn, tried to force his way through, was bothered at the far turn and dropped back, but ramo arain in the stretch run. UALLNO moved up with determination rounding the far turn on the cu side nearing he stretched then tired. CHILCA was bothered slightly rounding the first turn, but appeared mired in the going. STAHWICK, away in a tangle, was as good as left. MADONNA was away poorly, but could not improve his position when called upon. Overweight Chilca, 2i pounds; Madonna, 1, SIXTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. PEACEFUL forced the pace from the start, raced PLAY BOOK into defeat and drew away, but swerved in sharply inside the eighth post and blocked GLITTERING, forcing the latter to take up and then drew away. She was disqualified for foulinr. GLITTERING improved his position steadily on the inside, was going strongly when bothered and was forced to take up. UKRAINE was slow to begin and, outrun in the early stages, made up ground steadily at the end. MORALIST was close to the pace from the start, moved up at the far turn, but then hung badly in the stretch. BOUNDING COUNT was outrun all the way. PLAY BOOK was used up forcing the pace and then tired.
