i HIGDON BUYS THREE MARES ARLINGTON, Texas, April 24. Ross Hig-don, who is shipping his stable to Washington Park to await the opening of the major Illinois season, acquired three mares this morning which will be retired for breeding purposes. Acting for F. B. Koontz, widely known Oklahoma breeder, he traded the juvenile Double Brush to Mrs. A. M. Creech for Technique. He acquired Epinel in a trade with J. B. Jenkins for Edge In, and for his own account purchased Marcia from C. E. Wilson. The trio were shipped to the Paulfred Farm, where Technique and Epinel will be bred.
