BILL BARS MONDAY RACING SPRINGFIELD 111 May 20 Monday racing in Illinois will be a thing of the past if the house passes and Governor Horner does not veto tie Connors measure which raced through the senate here by a vote of 38 to 0 The bill introduced by William J Connors Democrat from Chicago also raises the daily license fee of tracks in Cook County from 2500 daily to1 3000 daily and increases the tax on other tracks in the state from 1500 to 1800 per day There was no debate on the measure The Cook County tracks that would be affected by the 500 increase are Washington Park Arlington Park Hawthorne and Sports ¬ mans Park while the other Illinois tracks now paying 1500 per day are Lincoln Fields Aurora and Falrniount Park
