Numerous Owners at Louisville Be ¬ quest Reservations for Strings at Motor City Course LOUISVILLE Ky May 20 Clarence Lehr president and general manager of the Detroit Racing Association arrived from the Motor City today and was pleased to learn that many of the leading stables would go from here to the Motor City Among the owners here who have stable reservations are Mrs F J Navin W D Covington I J Col ¬ lins T B Cromwell O F Woodward Keene Daingerfield Jr Axton Friedberg G La Flesh Oddesa Farms and C N Finch FinchPresident President Lehr stated that there are more than 200 horses quartered at the Fair Grounds and that he expected that many more would be on the grounds before the end of the week weekMany Many horsemen have told me said presi ¬ dent Lehr that the track is in a splendid condition We have reservations from most of the owners that campaigned with us at previous meetings and I am happy to say there are many newcomers newcomersWhile While here president Lehr received several stakes nominations The first of the thirteen stakes programed will be offered Saturday May 29 A charity program for the benefit of the Horsemens Relief Association will be run Friday preceding the opening of the regular season
