I TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES g, s Word was received here that Mrs. C. C. Hastings passed away at her home in Toronto, Ont. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 269 Riverside Drive, in the Queen City. Jockey K. Knott joined the riding colony at Tropical Park, which is already larger than the quota last season. Jockey J. Bejshak, who rode Discovery and other turf stars, is due to leave his home in Baltimore after the Christmas holidays, according to information sent to friends here. Bejshak keeps in riding condition by galloping horses at Pimlico, which is near his home. Word was received from Charles Town, W. Va., where the meeting of fifteen days ended a short time ago, that four carloads of horses were transferred to Oriental Park for the winter meeting of the Havana American Racing Association. Many of the owners, trainers, jockeys, officials, grooms, mutuel clerks and others connected with racing have made reservations for the Orange Bowl football game, to be staged at Roddy Burdine Stadium on New Years Day. The Miami Beach Handicap and the Plum Pudding Handicap, to be run Monday at Tropical Park, closed with racing secretary R. S. Shelley on Friday.
