f JOHN T. LAMBERT NEW SUFFOLK DOWNS DIRECTOR BOSTON, Mass., Dec. 23. John T. Lambert, nationally known newspaperman, today became actively associated with the manage- ment of Suffolk Downs and will be elected as director of the Eastern Racing Association, Inc. As a writer, editor and publisher, Mr. Lambert has been engaged in newspaper work in Boston twenty years, following his earlier training oh the Portsmouth, N. H. Herald, Manchester, N. H., Union, and the Worcester Telegram. He was for ten years a Washington correspondent, first going to Washington because of his intimacy with President Calvin Coolidge. He there, was managing editor of the Cosmopolitan News Service, editor of the Washington Herald, and publisher of the Washington Times. He was president of the White House Correspondents Association, and is a member of the National Press Club. In Boston he has been writer, political editor, and associate publisher of the Boston American,
