SIGNS NEW JERSEY BILL TRENTON, N. J., Dec. 23 Governor Harry A. Moore signed the bill for a referendum on the question of pari-mutuel betting on horse races today. The bill, recently passed by large majorities in the assembly and senate, sets June 20 as the date of the balloting. The measure stipulates further that 00,-000 be appropriated to cover the cost of the special election. The 00,000 will be returned to the state through the medium of pari-mutuel take from the race tracks. Mutuel betting on horses only would be permitted under the proposed constitutional amendment.
