EDWARD W DUFFY DIES ARLINGTON HEIGHTS 111 July 22 Edward W Duffy of Detroit who raced a useful stable for the past few years died suddenly at his home last night it was learned here at Arlington Park today Duffy apparently was in good health up until the time of his death and he has been a fre ¬ quent visitor at Arlington Park where ha enjoyed seeing his horses run Duffy who was about 40 years old entered the thor ¬ oughbred sport about four or five years ago with the purchase of the horse Cold Shoulder from A G Vanderbilt and later increased his stable until it embraced horses for races of all types His stable at Arlington is in charge of G R Miller Among the horses in his stable are Grey Gold and Sir Jim James Duffy was a bachelor and is sur ¬ vived by his mother and a sister
