PASS CHILD AID MEASURE MEASURESPRINGFIELD SPRINGFIELD 111 June 11 A bill ap ¬ propriating 8000000 a year to finance ad ¬ ministration of the aid to dependent chil ¬ drens act under a statefederal program was passed 120 to 8 in the Illinois House yesterday Sponsored by the Green adminis ¬ tration the measure is designed to extend public assistance to 70000 needy children living with parents or relatives It repeals the present mothers pension system as of July 1 1942 under which 17000 youngsters have received aid The federal government will contribute 4000000 a year toward the new program
