SWEEPIDA REIGNS AS KING OF CALIFORNIABRED HORSES HORSESGolden Golden State Breeders Handicap Winner Named for Other Stakes StakesINGLEWOOD INGLEWOOD Calif June 11 Still king of the roost as far as Californiabred horses are concerned is Harry C Hills Sweepida This son of Sweepster emphasized his posi ¬ tion as the California champion when he whipped a field of homebreds in the 10000 Golden State Breeders Handicap at Holly ¬ wood Park last Saturday SaturdaySweepida Sweepida which packed his top impost of 126 pounds in commendable fashion came out of the race none the worse for his experi ¬ ence and now will set his sights for the 10000 added Inglewood Handicap at a mile and onesixteenth set for June 21 He also is to be pointed for the 20000 added Ameri ¬ can Handicap on July 4 and the allimportant 75000 added Hollywood Gold Cup on July 19 19The The Hill fouryearold winner of the Santa Anita Derby and other important California stakes was making his first start last Satur ¬ day since the Santa Anita meeting and that he was brought up to the race in winning form was a tribute to his trainer L R Sta ¬ ples The horse was slightly lame toward the end of the Santa Anita season and he was given a rest which it turned out was just what he needed
