TO SHIP MAYER MARES MARESLEXINGTON LEXINGTON Ky June 11 Seven mares with foals at side owned by Louis B Mayer of California are at Kingston Farm in Ken ¬ tucky but they soon will be transferred to the Golden State where Mayer has several farms reports Dan B Midkiff Lexington owner Among there are La France dam of Johnstown which has a son of Man o War at side Panoramic halfsister to Whirlaway which is nursing a colt by Sir Gallahad III and Girl in Armour whose suckling colt was sired by Blenheim II This season La France was returned to the court of Jamestown sire of Johnstown Panoramic visited Blen ¬ heim II and Girl in Armour was mated with Hard Tack Twelve yearlings which spent their infancy at Kingston were shipped to the Mayer place near Paris Calif more than one month ago agoIn In partnership with Howard Wells also of Lexington Midkiff is breeding the mares Cross Keys and Dixie Land Cross Keys has a colt at side by Balladier and was bred to Stimulus Dixie Land went back to Slave Ship side of her filly foal of a few weeks ago
