OF OBSCURE ANTECEDANTS ANTECEDANTSINGLEWOOD INGLEWOOD Calif June 28 One of the most unusual pedigrees of any horse at Hollywood Park is that of Basin Sons War Account He is by a horse recorded in the Stud Book as War Mouse from a mare registered as Little Account War Mouse was by Mars Mouse by Marse Abe from the mare Miss White Mouse His dam was Waroakerra by War Shot from Whit Terra by II Terror Miss White Mouse was by the little known sire Bright Phoebus On his dams side Little Account was by the Whisk Broom II sire Dazzler Her dam was Martha by Cu gel which was by Broom ¬ stick as was her paternal grandfather The fact that War Account is a gelding pre ¬ cludes the possibility of any further produce of this unusual combination of sires and dams As obscure as his antecedants are in American bloodline records War Ac ¬ count beat horses which are well bred such as Display Me by Display from the mare Fortunate by Johren by Spearmint War Account won a race and was once second in six starts this year while in 1940 he was six times in the money in twelve trips to the post one of which he won
