FAMOUS SCHREIBER FARM AGAIN PRODUCING HORSES HORSESSun Sun Hatter Brother to Sun Beau and Ten Mares at Pershalls Stud StudKANSAS KANSAS CITY Mo June 28 One of the showplaces in St Louis County is the E E Pershell farm formerly part of the old Bar ¬ ney Schreiber place where at one time there were as many as 150 brood mares Pershall who purchased the 140acres farm less than three years agu has made great strides in his nursery which is headed by the promis ¬ ing young stallion Sun Hatter a full brother to Sun Beau While Sun Hatter has not produced any handicap stars he gets useful runners Last year his get led the list of winners at the spring and fall meetings at Fairmount Park ParkHigh High in Kentucky blue grass the farm is across the highway from the famous Lam ¬ bert Airport Pershall is hopeful he will send stake winners to the racen through his stallion There are ten mares on the farm and each year Pershall weeds out the old stock and adds to his band of matrons which he hopes will eventually lead to better horses The mares are Losweep Dixie Dee Chautaga Sun Hallie Aunt Flora Sink or Swim Aria Gay Hallie Laurel Ruby Indis ¬ putable and Clydella ClydellaLosweep Losweep had a colt by Sun Hatter and was returned to him while Dixie Dee foaled a filly by the same stallion and was also re ¬ turned to Sun Hatter Another filly was dropped by Chautaga by Sun Hatter and she went back to that sire Sun Hallie a daughter of Sun Hatter foaled a colt by Vito and visited the court of Saracen Aunt Flora dropped a colt her first foal by Sun Hatter and was returned to the same horse while Gay Hallie which failed to foal this year went back to Sun Hatter Laurel Ruby Indisputable and Clydella also visited Sun Hatter Sink or Swim and Aria are not due to foal until next month Sink or Swim and Aria are also booked to Sun Hatter HatterIn In addition to the sucklings and mares there are seven yearlings on the farmsix by Sun Hatter and the other by Vito Six of them are well formed colts and Pershall expects several to make racing history in 1942
