Ogham Displays Speed In Primer Stakes Prep Unbeaten Milter Colt Goes Five Furlongs in 1 :02 at Homewood HOMEWOOD, 111., June 22.— Mrs. Helen Millers Ogham, winner of Keenelands Lafayette Stakes, showed to advantage in a five furlongs spin this morning in preparation for his engagement in the Primer Stakes, to be run at Washington Park Thursday. The unbeaten Miller colt, who has won each of three engagements, stepped five furlongs over a good track in 1:02, for one of the most impressive moves of the morning. Ogham is one of the leading candidates for Primer Stakes honors. Some of the others are John Marschs Occupy and Broadcloth; A. C. Ernsts Alorter and Al-buldo; Max Marmorsteins Black Swan, H. P. Headleys Megogo, Mrs. Albert Sabaths Civil Liberty and John M. Hut-chins Valdina Maiden. Black Swan and Alorter, like Ogham, will be trying for their second stakes victory, Black Swan having captured the Bashf ord Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs J and Alorter having taken the Joliet Stakes at Hawthorne. Occupy has won no stakes, but he won his only two educational assignments and the class he displayed in them establishes him the favorite for Thursdays dash of five and one-half furlongs.
