RANGE DUST was hurried early, began moving up in the last quarter and, finishing with a rush in the stretch, was along in the closing stages to wear down BIT OGREEN to take command and held POLYMELIOR safe. The latter, unable to keep pace early, closed with a rush. BIT OGREEN, reservtd close up, went to the leaders on the inside nearing the last turn, took command in the stretch, drew clear, but was unable to maintain her advantage under punishment in the closing drive. FOGOSO closed a big gap. SACK showed speed in forcing and setting the pace, tiring during the last three-sixteenths. GOOD COMPANY was unable to threaten. ROCK-AWAY BOY tired throueh the last eighth. PORTAGE TRAIL, well placed from the start, gained a short lead after going three-eighths and came out steadily through the stretch run. NORTH FIRE went forwardly all the way and held on with good energy during the final drive. FIFTH moved up on the outside and finished with good energy in the stretch nin. BANYAN made up some ground, although unable to reach the leaders. QUICK DRAW went to the front soon after the start and, rated along under steadying reserve, tired in the last three sixteenths. NIGHT BOMBER faltered after moving up in threatening fashion midway of the turn. ROYAL PRINCE was unable to reach the leaders. Scratched— 426043Gold River, 116. GRAUSTARK drove through between horses nearing the stretch turn, took command and drew clear in the last eighth. TETRA ROCK forced the pace of ASK AUNT ADA and held on with good energy during the final drive. POMPECO went well placed throughout, held on with good energy and outlasted GRAND PARTY. The latter, unable to reach the leaders early, saved ground into the stretch and closed determinedly in the final drive. EASY BLEND, forwardly paced during the first five eighths, faltered in the last eighth. US, on the outside and prominently placed, tired under pressure. ISLAMS ISLAM went wide at the stretch turn. SUPER FOOT went prominently all the way and held on determinedly during the final drive. PERSISTENT came willingly on the outside through the last eighth. VALDINA PLEDGE w..s a prominent factor from thestart. took the lead before reaching the stretch, but was unable to cope with the first two through the last three sixteenths. KAN LAST closed some ground. BAYING showed speed in the pacemaking, then tired. pRIGHT QUEST was unable to keep pace after showing early speed.
