Deny Rumor of Militarys Release of Santa Anita LOS ANGELES. Calif.. April 11.— Publication of an article in a local theatrical j trade paper that the War Department had jj released the Santa Anita race track to the e Los Angeles Turf Club and had given them n the "green light," were vigorously denied j here today by Gwynne Wilson, assistant general manager of the Arcadia course. » Wilson stated to a correspondent of Daily y Racing Form that the track had heard d nothing from the War Department and d that the Army held a lease on the Santa a Anita track properties for the duration of f the war and six months thereafter. The army public relations office at Camp Santa Anita also denied knowledge of the ie militarys intent to vacate the property, and j branded the rumor as absolutely unfounded. 3
