Ascot Park and Hamilton j Purses Will Be Boosted Akron Track Sets 00 Minimum, With Offerings of 00 at Latter f COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 11.— Horsemen i planning to race their stables at Hamilton and Akron next summer received good news . 1 here today. D. E. Cronin, who heads the I organizations that conduct the sport of I kings" at the Butler County Fair Grounds 3 and Ascot Park, announced substantial I purse increases for the two tracks. Hamilton will run for 18 days, from July 3 through July 22. Ascot is scheduled to be » the scene of two meets — one for 18 days, from June 5 through June 24. and the other ■ for 19 days, from September 9 through t September 30. At Hamilton the minimum purse will 1 be 00. Two races for ,000 purses are » planned and two will be for ,200 purses.
