, « I | ] I Broadcloth Leaves Meadows For Louisville and Derby SAN MATEO, Calif., April 17.— Mrs. George Poulsens Broadcloth, an eligible for the Kentucky Derby, headed east today with seven other horses trained by C. T. Leavitt. Broadcloth is to be dropped off in Louisville, according to present plans, and the others will proceed on to Jamaica. Other horses making up the shipment are Mrs. Poulsens Burgoo Dinner and Sen- tinel, J. F. Williams Mount Vernon II., ! Just Rusty. Foxy Fena and Little Adell and Leavitts Bomberess. ■ Leavitt said that he is not yet sure Broadcloth is a three-year-old of Derby ; qualifications, but the colt is being shipped east in the hopes that he will show enough j after his arrival to warrant his entry in ; the 5,000 special on May 6. Broadcloth j was beaten in his only start of the Bay ] Meadows meeting, but his connections be- ] lieve him to be a better horse than he showed when he ran fourth to Radio 1 Morale, Mitchess and Singing Satin last i month. j
