Frend Announces Assistants PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 18.— Bob Frend, popular starter at Suffolk Downs I and Rockingham Park, was a visitor at Narragansett Park today. Frend announced that William Benn, Walter Ireland, Jack I Hennessy, Joe Haalfrank and Bob Turner! are to serve as his assistants during the New England season. Morris Kuykendall and Bill Taylor, who formerly were on Frend s staff, are now members of the Armed Forces; Kuyendall is in Italy and Taylor, who has been cited twice during his military career, is presently in England.
