I Entire War Relief Sum To American Red Cross Proceeds to Accrue From Six-Day Keeneland-Churchill Downs Meet LOUISVILLE. Ky., April 19.— The American Red Cross, an annual beneficiary from racing at Churchill Downs, will receive the entire proceeds from the combined Keeneland-Churchill Downs six-day War Relief meeting, to be staged next week, Charles W. Middleton, chairman of special events for the Louisville Red Cross chapter, announced today. The organization received 0,000 from one day of racing at the 1943 spring meeting, and further contributions were made by Downs officials and personnel, horsemen and others associated with racing. The week of War Relief consists of three days Keeneland set aside from its regular season of 10 days and three days Churchill | Downs is giving up of its original 21 -day season. In making the announcement after a conference with Col. Matt J. Winn, president of Churchill Downs.
