April 19— William Helis hard-hitting Irish -bred Rounders had his first extended workout at Belmont Park today when he went nine furlongs in 1:57% over the training track. The fractions were :38Vs, :51, lrHVs and 1:44%. His first major engagement is expected to be in Pimlicos Dixie Handicap on May 6, but he may have an overnight tune -up here at Jamaica before that.
