Bruce Head, presiding steward in charge of racing, and ! Russell Sweeny, resident manager, were chosen to replace the late Judge Anthony Carroll and Samuel C. Stone. The directors meeting later reelected all officers: Col. Matt J. Winn, president; Polk Laffoon, -vice-president; Samuel C. Culberson, chair-! man of the board; Sam H. McMeekin, secretary; Stanley F. Hugenberg, treasurer; Russell Sweeney, resident manager; C. Bruce Head, presiding steward, and Wililam H. Shelley, racing secretary.
