Flyer Takes Winter Handicap JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, May 31. — Reuters— J. M. Browns Flyer, a five-year-old by Flamwood — Comtesse, won the 2,000 Johannesburg Winter Handicap today. The winner, carrying 104 pounds, went off at 7 to 1 and covered the one mile course in 1:42. G. Grehams three-year-old, Electrified, carrying 120 pounds, lost the decision to Flyer by a short head. M. Rosenthals five-year-old, Equable, toting 109 pounds, was a half length further back in third place. Twelve started in the race.
