Dufford; bred by Mrs. John Hancock Garth. WENT TO POST-5:00. OFF AT 5:01 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. FLAMING LADY, hard held for the first half mile, rallied from the outside when roused on the stretch turn and, under a stiff drive, wore down ROCKET BOMB in the closing strides. The latter raced with the top flight from the beginning, was between horses much of the way and, after taking command inside the last eighth, could not stall off the belated challenge of the winner. CROESUS wrested command from the outside rounding the turn and hung under extreme pressure in the late stages. STAGE BOND passed tiring horses in the last quarter. PROFANO raced with the leaders to the final quarter and tired badly. Attendance, 22,078; Total Mutuel Pool, ,691,016.
