ABBES FIRST, quickest to begin, was under light urging to maintain position, responded well when put to a drive and held DREAMER safe at the end. DREAMER was kept in closest attendance of the pace throughout and pressed to the end. HI BUNTY improved position gradually, came to the outside for the drive, but lacked a closing rally SILVER SKIPPER, slow to begin, finished stoutly between horses. COMANCHE PEAK lacked early speed. TOM FERRIS tired after a half mile. GEORGIA was rushed into contention along the inside before a quarter mile, then tired. ABIM showed nothing and was bothered by a loose bandage. CO-PENNANT stopped. TACARO MILKMAN drew clear .soon after the start, was steadied while saving ground, turned back repeated challenges entering the stretch and withstood a sustained drive from overpower. The latter, well placed during the early running, came through on the inside when set down, drew close to the leader, but was not good enough. SPEEDY BABY challenged for command after a half mile, then weakened. BULLHEAD had no mishap. BLENLIN passed tiring horses from a slow beginning. LAST STRIDE moved boldly after a quarter mile, then tired. RAY K. was unable to keep up. TREASURE KEY showed nothing. Scratched— 99725 Rembird, 118. HEIM HOME was in command before a half mile, led until the final tum, then continued on gamely, but was not good enough. COMEDY BOY moved willingly along the inside, was caught in close quarters and forced to go wide on the far turn, then lacked a closing rally. RATON, well placed throughout, failed to respond in the stretch. ARKMO had no mishap. CRACK THE WHIP passed tiring horses. RODNEY R. tired after forcing the pace. BUBBLE WORLD was unable to keep up. The latter moved into contention after six furlongs, came to the outside for the drive and finished with good energy. BACHELOR BOY, outrun to the final furlong, closed with a belated rush on the outside. VALDINA PERION broke alertly, swerved slightly to the outside, was straightened and went along with the pace to the final turn, then tired. SMALL STUFF had no mishap. REPUBLICAN was never prominent. MILKSTONE tired.
