Cubs Recall Bob Borkowski From Springfield Farm Club By the United Press The Chicago Cubs today recalled Bob Borkowski from their Springfield, Mass., farm in the International League to replace Hal Jeff coat, outfielder who broke his collarbone yesterday. Jeffcoat applied for voluntary retirement, but can be reinstated after 60 days. He was injured when he made a diving attempt to catch a fly ball in the first inning, of the- opener in yesterdays double-header with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
