Lenczyk, Kielty in Third Round of British Amateur NEWCASTLE, Ireland, May 15 UP. — Grace Lenczyk of Newington. Conn., and Dorothy Kielty of Los Angeles swept into the third round of the British Womens Amateur Golf Championship today, but the three other U. S. entrants were eliminated in the opening round. Miss Lenczyk, former U. S. Amateur Champion, is favored to win the title and she opened her bid with convincing triumphs. The Connecticut girl easily eliminated Mrs. B. OReilly of Ireland, 9 to 7, in the first round, and Miss P. Davies of England, 3 and 1, in the second round. Miss Kielty had a first round bye and beat. Mrs. A. C. Scragull of England, 6 and 5, in the second round as 32 players survived the 12-hour , opening day action on the tricky Royal County Down course; Madeleine Bayly and Mrs. Ruth McCul-lough, both of Los Angeles, were eliminated in first round matches and Peggy Kirk of Findlay; Ohio, who was co-favored with Miss Lenczyk, was eliminated by default when she failed to appear for her match. She remained in-the U. S. to play in the final round of the Trans-Continental Weathervane Tournament at White Plains, N. Y., next week-end.
