RAMPAGEOUS moved readily along the inside to take command entering the stretch, drew clear and maintained the advantage under light urging. FIGHTING HARD forced the pace, lost ground through the stretch and finished with good energy. MISS TESS showed good speed going along with the pace, was unable to reach command, but held on stubbornly. PORTENTOUS improved position gradually in a good effort. LIBERTY TRITE was never prominent CAMBRIDGE FAIR showed an even effort. DEVOTEDLY tired after a half mile. DON LANNING was through early. MEL CAVANO was eased back when caught in close quarters. CRACK THE WHIP broke alertly, was taken back and steadied in a favorable position, worked his way up gradually on the outside, then responded to pressure and overtook PINCERS to win drawing away. The latter sprinted into a comfortable lead after a half mile, saved ground, then shortened stride, but was best of the others. LADY GATHER rallied briefly nearing the end. DESERT PASS finished with a rush along the inside. DAMIONS MIGHT tired after six furlongs. SHERWOOD was timidly handled. GAY JESSICA went well for seven furlongs, then tired. H. A. KELLER was bothered by a trailing bandage. The others were outrun. Overweight— Desert Pass, 2 pounds. WHIZ WHIZ was hustled leaving the barrier to engage the leader before a quarter of a mile, continued to press, the pace entering the stretch and forged to the front inside the final sixteenth of a mile. GAME BELLE benefited from her inside position, shook off the opposition going to the turn and held on stubbornly when headed by the winner. KITTY WHISKERS went well while drifting cut slightly on the final bend. SALLYS FOLLY broke well, was unable to keep up, then moved with a late rush on the inside. MISS EMILEO held on well. SURPRISED was forced to race wide on the final bend. LEGS had no mishap. KINGFISH was in close quarters early. CARELESS LIPS broke in a tangle and was never prominent PLASTERED and LADY BEANS were outrun. The latter finished with a rush between horses. BOLD KNOT moved into command after going wide entering the stretch, then faltered. PENCELL stumbled leaving the barrier, but quickly recovered and worked his way up on the outside. ALANAY tired after forcing the pace. MILK WAR lacked early speed.
