GOLDEN CLOVER rushed through on lhe inside to engage for the lead afte rsix furlongs, shook off FRATERNAL, drew clear and was hard ridden to outfinish VARODI. The latter, saved ground throughout and was catching the winner at the end. NOSTOC rallied mildly in the late stages. FRATERNAL tired after losing command. KHABULA went evenly.
