BIG DIAL, caught between horses during the drive, faltered when near J the finish. SUN TIGER assumed command at once, faltered when near the finish. TERRYS CANE, away alertly, was taken in hand and saved ground to the stretch, closed willingly when set down in the drive, but could not overtake the winner. BEAU NASH, in hand to the last quarter mile, drifted out at the final turn, then finished strongly when straightened for the drive. BUMBASHOOT lacked early speed. OPENING DAY raced forwardly placed to the last eighth, then weakened. KASLICK was outrun. STORM BIRD made the pace for three-quarters mile, then weakened. LUSTY tired after racing well to the stretch. WHITE BLAZE failed to stay after showing brief speed. AIRDOME lacked early speed. EAST HILL tired after racing well to the stretch. PADDY LANE made the pace for a half mile under pressure from WINSTAY, but had nothing left for the drive. BOLDGER was outrun. OLD BURLAP was through early and raced wide during the last three-eighths mile. BOOTS BEST and PAMARIS were never dangerous.
