Howard Craig Astride Three Winners on Ascot Program ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, June 7. — Another delightful day was provided for the racing fans, and the estimated attendance reached 6,500 passed here at Ascot Park. From all indications in the mutuel play, which was up considerably over the same Saturday of last year, the attendance may also be a bit over this figure. JockeyHoward Craig continued to add to his score in the number of winners for the nation jockeys score. The affable young fellow turned in three victories out of the first seven races and did not have a mount in the second or sixth races. His three winners were while astride Mr. and Mrs. P. Maxwells Windsor Place in the third; Araruth Niharts Junket in the fourth and again for Mr. and Mrs. P. Maxwell aboard The Shacks in the seventh. A spill in the third race sent jockey Stanley Bielen to the hospital with a fractured thigh. Going into the first turn, the saddle slipped on P. J. Doyles Beloved Miss and while trying to right himself as well as the horse, the mare slipped and fell.
