ROYAL BONES was rated within striking distance for the first three-eighths, then made a move between horses and, coming to the outside in the stretch, headed the. field an eighth out and, straightened away after swerving in, drew out easily. TOP CHOICE went to the front early and saved ground throughout, but was not good enough. SAYRE made up ground to stage a good fiinsh. COURT RULER was bothered in the stretch. SISTER CORA tired. VI DOG was a forward factor, from the start and, after taking command in the stretch and swerving in front of BRASSFIELD, went on to hold TROIA. in a drive. TROIA dropped back between calls on the backstretch, but continued on the inside and went well to the end. BRASSFIELD made a good move on the outside entering the stretch turn, but went wide on the turn and, seemingly bothered slightly by VI DOG, was unable to get to the front. Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. SO FAIR moved up after going half the distance and, taking command in the stretch, drew out in the last sixteenth. ROY 0. improved his position in the run home, but was doing his best to hold REBEL RAIDER. The latter was badly outrun early, but closed much ground in the last quarter. JOUSTING MATCH dropped far back of the field in the first quarter and closed a gap. ARCHIBALDO and GOOD STORY tired in the stretch. STRADA broke slowly. MARLIN hadsome early speed. BOBS PAL was closest to the pace of FANCY FOOD in the first half and, although racing wide on the stretch turn, forged to the front an eighth out and increased his advantage slowly thereafter. FANCY FOOD went to the front at once and was under light restraint while making the pace, then hugged the rail on the stretch turn and went well to the end. RARE BID made a fair run through the stretch and was pressing for second place. ROMAN VULCAN made up some ground. The others were outpaced. FOX LAIR dropped back to last place on the backstretch, but came strongly on the outside around the stretch turn and, although forced-to race wide, took command after entering the last furlong and then drew out. FAMOUS CORNER, closer up than usual in the first part, made a timely move nearing the stretch turn and took a short lead an eighth out, but was unable to last BRAMBLE SUN made the pace and, saving ground in the stretch, held on fairly well in the final drive. CORINNE T. loomed up in the stretch and raced well to the finish. STARBOROUGH and BUT WHY tired in the stretch and were crowded after entering the last eighth. BIDDY JANE raced close to SWEET I PATOOTIE while the latter was making the pace and, getting to the front of her rounding the stretch turn, took I a short lead, then bore in at midstretch to bother SWEET PATOOTIE slightly and drew out in the last sixteenth ■ to win easily. The rider of SWEET PATOOTIE lodged a claim of foul that was not allowed. SWEET PATOOTIE I broke quickly and saved ground while making the pace, continued to hug the rail in the stretch and dropped I back in the last sixteenth, but was easily best of the others. ARAB ACTRESS was fairly well up from the * I start and, while seemingly no match for the top pair, finished with good courage. STEPHENS GIRL was going H well at the end. GOOD CALL made up some ground in a creditable effort. HAPPY DEB was close early, but H was unable to keep up. TOUNINE had speed to the stretch, then weakened. CELTIC PLAY lacked early speed H and was outpaced. GIFTED GAL raced on the outside, went wide in the stretch and weakened. The latter trailed for five furlongs, H then came fast and gamely to finish strongly. MAIL FROM HOME was rushed to the front early, opened a H fairly wide advantage along the backstretch, turned into the final stretch run with a splendid advantage, but H was used up from his early efforts and had little left when challenged.
