Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., June 7. James Paddock, Louisville, Ky., thoroughbred owner and breeder, checked in from the Falls City and remained for the week-end racing. Paddocks stable is conditioned by Vester "Tennessee" Wright. Duke Pailet and Lester Pailet arrived from their New Orleans, La., home and they will remain for the balance of the current Michigan season. Lester trains the horses that race1 under his fathers silks. Trainer Cecil Locklear reported that Mrs. Lawrence Frys Best Air, whose rank post behavior cost her a spot on the schooling list, has been taken out of training and shipped to her owners Ohio farm. Richard Connell, president of the Hazel Park Racing Association, arrived from his Florida winter home and inspected the stable he has quartered here in charge of trainer F. E. Arnold. Connell was accompanied to the local course by Waldo An drews, Hazel Park vice-president, and Horace Wade, racing secretary and handicap-per at the East Side plant. C. C. Kranz reported the arrival of three thoroughbreds from Keeneland, Beiltro, Doctor McCabe and Doctor Heitz. The trio is the property of C. C. Ortlieb, Cincinnati, Ohio, patron.
