CLAY PIGEON went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then gamely withstood a brisk drive to hold ALL IS ON safe. ALL IS ON, never far back, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, closing strongly, was getting to the winner at the end. LITTLE ZAC raced evenly to the stretch, made up ground during the drive, but could not get to the top ones. RIPTON saved ground throughout and gave a good effort. AL HASH drifted out during the stretch run. SULTANPEPPER lacked early speed, but finished fast. IMPELLER was away fast, but steadily lost ground after the break. CLEANED was outrun. NAVY DIVER steadily worked way forward to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and disposed of WINDSOR PARK in the last sixteenth mile. WINDSOR PARK was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong but could not hold the top one. JOHNS BABY, never far back and saving ground, gave a good effort LADY ROWENA, away fast, dropped back after the break and raced on the outside to the stretch, then was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the stretch. LILS GADGET was roughed nearing the stretch and could not threaten when clear for the drive. MR. FEATHERS made a mild bid near the stretch, but faltered during the drive. BOLD BANDIT was through early. BEILTRO reached the lead between calls soon after the start, but failed to stay. HOLLY MAC saved ground while in hand to the stretch, assumed command after disposing of DREAM COMFORT and increased the advantage when ridden out. DREAM COMFORT went to the front at the start, made the pace until inside the stretch but could not hold the top one. POLAR BATTLE, reserved to the final quarter, finished willingly under punishment BLEWSO lacked early speed. CLOVER MISS, on the inside for the stretch run, was unable to better her position. KITTY WHISKERS saved ground while in hand to the stretch, responded well when set down for the drive and was up to dispose of JUST-MADE-IT in the last strides. JUST-MADE-IT steadily worked way forward after the initial quarter mile, reached the lead during the stretch run, but could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. ATHLETE lacked early speed, but made up ground during the last quarter mile, finishing strongly in the middle of the track. PRO TANTO tired during the stretch run. CLEARANCE was outrun. LONGHORN was blocked entering the stretch and failed to recover. GLANGOLLY gave way after displaying speed for three-quarters mile. HALS CHICK was never dangerous. TURBAN, reserved to the last quarter, could not reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. LEASE HOUND raced well until inside the stretch, then weakened. TRAVELER assumed command before going a quarter, made the pace to the last eighth, then faltered when challenged by BADGER. ALA MOWLEE raced well for a half mile, then weakened during the drive. OFF AT 5:56 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. RIGMAROLE saved ground to the upper turn, was blocked approaching the stretch and taken out to secure racing room, assumed command and drew clear when ridden out. MOCK BATTLE, a sharp factor from the start, moved up boldly entering the stretch, but was unable to get to the winner. BIG JET lacked early foot, but closed fast under urging. HOP-TOWN was outrun. RED ROMEO raced SMOOTH FINISH into defeat after five-eighths mile and established a clear lead, then weakened when set down for the stretch run. SINN FEIN tired during the drive.
