Maige Mc Out for Tenth Win of Season Tonight Expected to Be Favorite in Field of Six at Maywood Park 1 MAYWOOD PARK, Maywood, HI., June-7. — Maywood Park will play host to the[ jElks of the Chicago area Monday night.1 The membership of Elk lodges in Chicago, Highland Park, Aurora, -Waukegan, Oak? Park and eight other suburbs which make up the northern Illinois district B. P. O. E., will be guests of the management for the nine-race program. " Vice-president Frank Schollian, leading officer of the district, will present a trophy-to the winning driver following the feature race of the evening, the Elks Pace at one, mile. H. A. Meyers Maige Mc will attempt to convert the Elks pace into his tenth victory* of the season. The four-year-old son of Eton has won half his 18 starts and rates, as the leading race winner in the nation among harness horses. Maige Mc is expected to open as the favorite in a field of six, and will be driven by Don Busse. Opposing him will be Theo-» j dores First, Roddy, Cash Kirk, G. W. AT* and Counterpart Hanover. Roddy, which races for Mrs. Eleanore* I James of Wheaton, will be out to prove that I his recent return to 1951 form was not a* one-time shot. After winning only one of hs first 12 starts, Roddy captured his most, recent effort in a creditable 2:06%. Counterpart Hanover, owned by Chicago automobile dealer Norman C. Towne, hasr been successful in three of his past five efforts while setting a personal record of 2:09 for the mile. Owner Towne will be honored at Maywood Tuesday night in the ,500 Towne Stock Farm Trot, a mile stake race. Dr. William Bells Hedrick, Jr., one of the4 leading candidates for Maywoods three-year-old championship, is favored to register his fifth win in seven tsarts in the sixth race, a mile pace. Opposing the fleet Hedrick colt will be* Hassayampa, Direct Song, Ora Guy, Reggie Direct, McLean Cash and Annville. ,
