Appoint H. B. Wessel Manager SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, June 24.— The San Juan Racing Association today announced the appointment of Henry B. Wessel, Jr., as general manager of El Comandante race track. He succeeds John Shevlin, who has returned to New York. Wessel has been comptroller at El Comandante since December, 1956. Previously, he was secretary and treasurer of Wheeling Downs. Wessel immediately appointed George Demas director of racing and racing secretary. Demas has been connected with Wheeling Downs.
