I I Ox Blood Suffers Head Injury JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 31.— Trainer Max Hirsch reported this morning that Lt. Edward Laskers Ox Blood suffered a deep gash in his head when he struck the supports of the starting gate in the second division of the Wood Memorial. Ox Blood, due to the injury, raced far below expectations and trainer Hirsch said that he would be on the shelf for some time.
