Haas to Quit Saddle JAMAICA. L. I.. N. Y„ May 31.— Jockey Leon "Buddy" Haas, who arrived here to ride Hoop Jr. in the Wood Memorial, voluntarily took himself off the mount and | gave the engagement to Eddie Arcaro. Haas offered as his explanation that he will ride one more race, the Kentucky Derby, then hang up his tack for all time.
